Age UK’s Fit as a Fiddle project encouraged older people to get active, make friends and have fun. £16 million of National Lottery funding ensured that over four thousand older volunteers could set up activities for their peers. The project had a dramatic impact on participants’ health, with participants reporting a 33% increase in the amount of physical activity.
